Those who fill themselves with useless things must, sooner or later, empty themselves if they want to make room for useful things.

To go from outside to inside, you need meditation, but many do not have enough time to do so. Therefore, they only work on the surface; their choice is simple and clear: better to have a lot and superficial rather than a little and profound.

There are direct choices and indirect choices.

If I choose to buy bread from a specific baker, we can say that I am making a direct choice, entirely under my control.

This choice of mine, however, has consequences that are not clear upon my observation. We can consider them indirect choices.

Many people fail to see the law of cause and effect, which is staring at them in the faces; upon my observation persist in talking about Karma, which is about the relationship between their past and present lives.
